Recent Linux versions show blank/garbled "zoom - licensed account" window

Zoom versions after 5.3.465578.0920-1.x86_64 on Linux show a blank or garbled control window (the "Zoom - Licensed Account" window with "New meeting", "Join",  etc.).   See below:

Setting the environment variable LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 fixes the problem, but that causes zoom CPU usage to increase dramatically.

 

The distribution/version is CentOS 7 and the graphics card is Intel Corporation HD Graphics 630 (rev 04).
