I have been asked to give a talk to a group of people on zoom. I will NOT be the host. It will be a regular meeting, not a webinar.

What I would liked to be able to do is display the file containing my talk on my screen, so that it is visible only to me.

For everyone else, I would like them to be able to see only me giving the talk (not the text).

If this is possible, would you please tell me how to do it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Gassyjoe,

Thank you for the clarification.

When having a Zoom virtual meeting you can choose to adjust your video layout in the best way that suits your meeting.  Zoom does not have a teleprompter feature, a dual monitor setup can be beneficial to make it easier to have your notes on one screen and the Zoom Desktop client on another as a suggestion.

Hello gassyjoe,

Thanks for your enquiry.

Please can you confirm if you are trying to share a presentation to the participants whilst being able to see the presenter notes at the same time, or do you just want to be able to talk through your presentation but not share it so participants won't see the deck?

Thanks.

Adanna

Hi Adanna -

First off, thank you for replying. I really appreciate it.

What I want to do is use my screen as a sort of teleprompter, where I am able to see my notes but the audience is not. They will see me, but not the notes.

Additionally, if it is possible for me to see the audience and my notes at the same time, that would be great.

Thanks, again.

Gassyjoe
