Poll button disappers when changing host

I have polls set up and can see the button in the bottom.  I initiated a meeting, passed the host to another attendee, but the new host could not see the poll button.  I tried the reverse: I asked a person to initiate a meeting and passed the host to me, and the same happened.  I went through the whole list of settings, and could not find a relevant way to solve the issue.  Please help.

Hi,

I'm guessing that the user you pass the host to do not have a Zoom license? You need to be licensed to use the poll feature.

Prerequisites for polling for meetings

  • Host user type must be Licensed
  • Meeting polling enabled
  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: version 5.5.0 or higher
    • macOS: version 5.5.0 or higher
    • Linux: version 5.5.0 or higher
  • Zoom mobile app*
    • Android: version 5.5.0 or higher
    • iOS: version 5.5.0 or higher
  • Zoom web client
  • The meeting must be either a scheduled meeting, or an instant meeting using your Personal Meeting ID

*Note: Users on the iOS or Android mobile app can participant in polling, but hosts need to be using the desktop client to manage polling.

Thanks for the observation.

I tested twice with the same person.  He initiated the meeting and saw the polling button in his screen, passed the host to me, and again the polling button was gone in my screen.
