Permanently remove profile icon image

How do I permanently remove the "J" icon that appears as my profile image when I'm off camera during a meeting? Every time I delete it, it re-emerges in my next meeting. I don't want an image or a picture.

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @JSS1.

Zoom creates a letter image if you don’t have an image of your own uploaded. The only way to remove the letter is to upload your own image in your Zoom Web Portal profile.

Don’t want anything? Upload a blank image; you might be able to upload an image with an alpha channel to have a truly blank transparent image, but I’m not sure on that point.

Ray -- check out the GoodClix website.

Thanks Ray. Though I'm curious why every other person in my zoom meetings has a black box w/ their name displayed in the center of their box when they're off camera. Mine is the only one with the letter icon.  That seems to be the default setting for them but not for me.
