Audience change on FB

Starting two weeks ago, I can no longer change the audience when FB launches via zoom.  In the past the audience is set to (only me) and I could change to public. Don't know why the Zoom FB audience is set to "only me" when my FB profile audience is set to public.  I would like my audience set permanently to public and not "only me" when zoom launches FB. How can this be fixed. Once I end streaming to FB from zoom, it will allow me to change to public but not while it is live. Very frustrating.

I've had this "exact same issue" for over a year!  Driving me nuts because I can't livestream anything for view through zoom on facebook.  I used to could go in privacy settings on my phone while live streaming and change to public, but now the "edit privacy" features is gone.  zoom tech support please help! Thank you!

Hello @JoanneW and @erickap50,

This is a common issue that happens from time to time—usually because of changes Facebook makes to privacy settings or how it handles app permissions. It’s not really a Zoom problem, but how Facebook handles third-party streaming apps like Zoom.

Why It Happens
Even if your Facebook profile is set to "Public," Facebook can default the audience to "Only me" when Zoom goes live. This often happens if the permissions between Zoom and Facebook weren’t set up (or got reset) properly.

How to Fix It
1. Remove and Reconnect Zoom to Facebook
Go to Facebook’s business integrations

Remove Zoom from the list

Go back to Zoom and try to go live again

When Facebook asks you to authorize Zoom, make sure to set the audience to “Public.”

2. Double-Check App Visibility
Go to Facebook’s app settings

Find Zoom in the list

Make sure its “App visibility and post audience” is set to Public.

Let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.
