Obstructive Banner

When I switch on MUTE, a banner appears after a minute that says "You are muted now etc .. "

OK, I think it' a good idea to confirm it although I can just look to see if the little microphone is crossed out.

The problem is that this banner appears right in the middle of the screen.

If you are working on something and need to see what is behind that banner at that moment you're stuffed. 

Is there anyway to NOT have that banner or at least RELOCATE that bvanner to the side or corner of the screen ?
