Local Recording Access

Hi everyone, I recorded a meeting to my computer = a "local" recording. I dont have access to that computer anymore. I see the recording in my Zoom but it says the recording is only available on that computer.

Is there anyway to get access to this recording from a different computer?

Hello @athletemade ,

Local recordings are only accessible on the computer you downloaded the recording to. You will need to get the recordings from the previous computer. To access local recordings:

Hope that answers your question. Recommend moving to cloud recording to avoid this in future.

I would appreciate your help as the recording was accidentally deleted even from the trash from the computer where it was recorded I need the recording as it is research-oriented and I was the only one who had it. Can you please help?

Hello,

Unfortunately, you are going to face the same challenges as if you deleted any other file type.

Data recovery is a complicated topic. There are companies that specialize in data recovery services, but Zoom has no special abilities in regards to deleted, local  media files.

in future consider backing up important files. A copy on a second device and another copy off site is a good strategy.

Good luck
