Invite Spam

I keep receiving unsolicited Zoom meeting invitations from different Gmail addresses. Each time I block or unsubscribe, the senders simply use a new address and the invitations start again. Outlook then displays constant reminders, which is extremely disruptive.

Could you please advise how I can stop people from automatically adding me to Zoom meetings, or at least require my confirmation before an invitation is placed in my calendar?

Same issue - tired of people putting invites on my calendar for webinars I have no intention of attending.  We need a feature to report these companies to Zoom so you can remove their accounts or something.  Very annoying!

Same issue. There are dozens (or hundreds) of comments over the last few years(!) about this very problem and the Zoom tech force seems incapable of correcting their flaws. Zoom loses its value and appeal with every week this continues. (Perhaps if everyone starts adding comments to switch to Microsoft Teams then Zoom management will figure out a way to fix their flaws.)

I've been having this same issue over the last month. Each time I submit a new case with the Trust & Safety group and each time the case is immediately closed, no help is suggested and no fix has been made. Each spam meeting invite comes from a different Outlook email address and unsubscribing does nothing. Each of these spam invites gets loaded into my Google calendar and is causing major problems for myself and my team. Zoom - up your game and provide a solution - this is a security breach. I'll be looking at Microsoft Teams as another solution for my business.

I get about one of these a month.  The REALLY annoying part is that they spam meeting reminders.
"5 hours left"
"4 hours left"
etc.

By the time there's actual support from Zoom, the whole thing is over.  Lame.
This is as simple as a "I did not sign up for this meeting" button on the email.  Enough people click those, and you kill the meeting.
But I suspect Zoom values the businesses of these scammers more than the rest of us paying customers.

You suggest a simple and great solution with adding the "I did not sign up for this meeting" button. Zoom - look how easy this could be!

Thing is, snowball's chance in hell that they implement it.
The spammers are likely paying customers too.
Having so many of us aggravated by the spam is a small price to pay for them to serve their REAL power users.

Have you heard of Zoom AI Companion?

Honestly, Mark NO.  Stop gaslighting us with that useless Trust&Safety report and start LISTENING to our experience.

The average response time on those T&S forms is DAYS.  Do you know what happens to us in the interim?   SPAM.  All day long.
REMINDER!  4 hours left!
REMINDER!  3 hours left!
REMINDER!  2 hours left!
REMINDER!  1 hour left!
REMINDER!  Starting in 30 minutes.

Cluttering our inboxes and blowing up our phones.  We can't simply block the noreply@zoom email address because some of us (try) to use your product in our own businesses.

The solution to this is simple:  A giant "I didn't sign up for this crap" hyperlink in the body of all Zoom invites.
When clicked, instantaneously prevents all future email from that Zoom user.
The problem is, your product team simply doesn't want to prioritize it.
You do not care about the growing spam problem on your platform.
You THINK its good enough to direct us to an absolutely USELESS reporting system that doesn't improve our outcomes.

But its not good enough.  Voting with my wallet and finding alternative platforms to zoom.
About to get real loud about it with your investors too.

I've been diligently reporting each incident of spam to the Trust & Safety team which takes time out of my day that I don't want to spend reporting this problem over and over again without a resolution. I've been repeatedly responded to with a "Case closed. We don't need any further information". When I prepaid for an annual subscription, I entered into an agreement with Zoom that a safe and secure platform would be provided for me to conduct business on. Zoom has violated this agreement and is not providing a solution to resolve this problem.  Nor will Zoom pro-rate a refund for this service. So your advice to keep reporting is in direct conflict to how the T&S team is responding to our reports, there is no solution provided for this ongoing problem, and there is no financial recourse for me to recoup my investment for a service that doesn't fulfill its obligation to its users.

Not only this, but the spam problem has been ongoing for MONTHS.
There has been plenty of time to roll out a trivially easy countermeasure for users.

The problem is Zoom feels absolutely no negative side effect to the spam.
And why should they care what a lowly USER thinks about the experience.
They don't.  The evidence of this is the constant compulsion for us to waste our time finding a T&S form, filling it out, then waiting FIVE DAYS while the spammer does all the damage in the meantime.
