Incorrect person identified as meeting participant

I'm currently creating a TeleHealth booking system for the hospital I work at.

For testing, I am creating all of the Zoom meetings using my email.

Yesterday we were doing some testing with one of the booked meetings. My colleague clicked the start link and the the meeting started fine (as me, because of my email being used), but when I then clicked on the matching join link, I didn't join as me (even though I am logged on to Zoom as  me) I joined as a person who does not work at our hospital. I Googled the name and only hit I got was a famous Jazz musician by the same name.

We repeated the test with a different meeting and I again attended as the unknown person....

So clearly I was puzzled by this and wonder how and why I would have suddenly assumed the identity of another Zoom user?

Hi @SteveWinnard

Has this happened in more than one meeting - and are you jogged in to both zoom.us and your Zoom client app locally using your Zoom account? Or are you joining via the web?

This happened in the two meetings I mentioned in the original post, but I'm not sure that I ever actually joined as a participant prior to that (only as the starter).

I believe that I was logged into my local zoom app, but not zoom.us, and yes joined the meeting using the web join URL.
