Does anyone have any experience with downloading their recording WITH the captions "baked on". Is there a different application or website I need to use to get the captions onto my recording?

Hey @AEFink6502, when a meeting with live captioning is recorded to the cloud, the playback of that recording on Zoom will show the captioning on the video as it was during the live meeting. When downloading the recording, the video and the captioning/transcript files are separate, which means you would need to load the captioning file in your media player for those captions to be displayed.

If you want the captions hard-coded in the recording, you would need to download both files and use 3rd-party video editing software to add the captions in the .vtt file to the recording and export the resulting video. The .vtt transcript/captioning file can generally be opened with Word or any other document program, in order to pull the captioning text.

I hope this helps!
