Can't hide in-meeting notifications

Hi there!

 

I'm having an issue where some of my coworkers are unable to disable the notification badges or the pop-ups on our group zoom calls. I have no idea what is different about our set-ups!

 

I suggested that they select the "Mute chat notifications while I am in a meeting or internal call" option, but it does not seem to make a difference. Any other ideas on how to stop these notifications from happening on the mac desktop app?

go to 'CHAT'  and then  and then you see three dots press that and now click 'no one'

it looks like a step got cut out. What do I do between going to "chat" and clicking three dots?
