Audio volume drops when zoom meeting opens

Probably duplicate but I'm not seeing any solution that works.  Audio volume is fine on my laptop across multiple programs until joining with computer audio to a Zoom meeting, then volume drops.  I have the speaker volume at Max and have turned off, unchecked Automatically Adjust Microphone Volume, and set Audio Profile to Zoom Background Noise Removal to Low (although I have tried Auto, Medium and High but no change).  Why does Zoom automatically change the volume?  What else am I missing?  I don't seem to see any other fixes posted other than the uncheck auto adj mic volume and that doesn't fix it.  The laptop is 3 months old running Windows 11 Pro (although I had the same problem with the laptop this replaced)

Computer audio is complex and there are multiple volume controls and audio enhancement functions that need to be adjusted or turned off. Without a specific model number it is not possible to know what features are present. However, Win 11 does have multiple volume controls for Zoom under System > Sound > Volume Mixer > Apps that are independent.

I've done all that - opened volume mixer, sound settings, audio settings in Zoom - everything is at full but volume drops more than 50% as soon as zoom meeting starts - also I am seeing 3 entries for zoom (all exactly the same) listed under the volume mixer - why 3????  connected a Bluetooth ear bud and saw no drop in volume there - only happens with windows audio!
