Admitting people from the waiting room

I have used Zoom every Sunday for 3 years with no problems. The last 2 weeks when I start the meeting from my laptop I do not get the message that people are waiting to be admitted. If I start from my phone I get the message to admit and then I am able to let them in. It only works from my Android phone and not my Windows based laptop. A new issue just recently. I wonder if there is some setting that got adjusted inadvertently. Thank you.

You may have the "New waiting room and join before host experience" enabled. Please see the FAQs

Also, Just make sure your desktop Zoom App version is latest ( as this experience needs you to be on 5.12 and above).
