1:1 Meetings, often people can't join when meeting open

Can anyone help? This has happened to me too frequently and it is annoying at the least. Not sure what is going wrong.

When I schedule a 1:1 meeting I often open the meeting about 2-4 minutes before the meeting is to start. Just to be "there" when the person comes on. About  75% of the time the person I'm meeting with can't get on. They get a message that I'm in another meeting. Even when I sign out and open the Zoom meeting again, they can't get on. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry to hear about it.

I advise to double check with them what Meeting ID do they see in the invitation details. Compare against the details you see in the meeting, when you click on the little green icon on the top left:
