I've edited and saved the description for a published event and the changes won't take affect?
The description was edited in the following path Event content/Session/About this session
Can anyone help?

Are you referring to text on the Registration page? Zoom recently moved where that insulation is updated. See this and click the green highlighted button (it might look greyed out, but it probably isn’t – click!)

I was fighting with this today. You have to physically type in the 'About this Session' description. Anything copy-paste will NOT save. (This was at least the workaround for me.)
