Strange Panelist Issue

Hi all

I was hosting a webinar for our school on Tuesday night, and invited our panelists, as well as setting name tags and backgrounds for them. When the practice session started, all panelists were there, but not everyone had a background or tag, even though they were set up. Right clicking on the options for each panelist came up with different options for those without a background. With a background I had the 'Change Panelist Appearance' option, but the others, even though they were registered as panelists, didn't have that.

Has anyone else experienced this and any advice on how to fix it? I thought it could have been something with which email address was used, but each person logged on with the email address that had been set up as a panelist beforehand.

Many thanks for any advice.

There are some pre-requisites for this feature:

Prerequisites for using Webinar Session Branding

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.10.0 or higher
    • macOS: 5.10.0 or higher
  • Zoom mobile client
    • iOS: 5.10.0 or higher
    • Android: 5.10.0 or higher
  • Zoom web client
  • Paid account with a Zoom Webinars or Zoom Events license

My guess is some users were running an older version of Zoom.

I agree with Toby. if you are an admin on your Zoom account you can print out that meeting report which will show you everyone's version they joined with. you can also set your meeting to require a version or the latest version to join.
