On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Managing Host and Panelist Views

Hi, I'm conducting a webinar and want to:

a) present a few slides as host,

b) turn it over to a co-host to present a few slides

c) then have a panel of 4 people take over, with all 4 always on screen/video,

d) then take back over as host

Is this possible? How do I control the camera that way?  And if a host turns off mic and camera, do they still show up as a 'box' on the screen?

  1. Share screen as host; all others have video off. When host is done sharing screen, turn off video - your box/photo will not be visible unless you are recording
  2. Co host shares screen with the video on, then turn off video when done
  3. Panel of 4 people as panelists, all turn on video
  4. When you take back over as host tell panelists to turn their video off, or they will be visible when you turn on your video to take back over as host
  5. Turn your video on and you are visible as host
