Blocking anonymous users, callers from joining webinar without registering

Hello,

We are trying to keep anonymous users, and callers from joining our webinars without having to register for the webinar.  We have about 2000+ people that attend an all-hands webinar.  In these webinars that we host, we have attendees that show as "anonymous" and sometimes there is inappropriate chat and Q&A from these anonymous users/callers.  These webinars are strictly for our employees and was wondering if there is a way that only their domain email could join the webinar.  Also possibly keep our users from forwarding the email so that other users cannot simply click the link and join the webinar.  We use SSO for Zoom.  We use the Zoom Workplace software installed on our computer's version 6.3.11 (60501).

It’s unfortunate that creating tightly-restricted Webinar access requires some specific settings which are that easy to figure out on your own. And more unfortunate that you can’t really guarantee rejection of everyone not authorized. 

You mentioned you don’t want attendees to have to register. Have you tried using Authentication Required?

While this doesn’t prevent anything from accessing the webinar, it does assure that everyone admitted is logged into a Zoom account – authentication-required doesn’t check that the user is logged into the registered account, just any account.  If there’s any disruption, however, flag the offender with Report to Zoom during the meeting. Follow up on the report using the Confirm Report process in this document:

Since the offender must be logged in, Zoom can teach them shown more easily that of authentication is turned off. 

Another possibility is to leverage a Zoom Events license. Zoom Events was built initially with very strict security processes. Over time, they’ve provided options to relax them, but you can go full -bore in a variety of ways, including creating group join links that will only allow logged on users with a specific domain name in their address to attend, or even based on presence in an uploaded email list; other guests can be invited, but must be logged into the ticketed access link to get in.
