Meeting summary cannot be found

For the first time, I chose to allow the AI companion to join the meeting. I am both the admin of the account and the host/organizer of the meeting. The plan is Workplace Pro.

Following the meeting, on the main dashboard, I pulled down the AI Companion option to choose 'Summarize this Meeting'. I received this message: Sorry, I cannot answer your question because you don't have the permission to access the meeting transcript.

My settings seem to be correct, so I'm not sure what I need to do to get meeting summaries in the future. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

You are not alone. Same here with the AI Notes summary not appearing in my account.

I've been using the AI Notes feature since it came out. But ever since they revised the UI, it has become a pain in the A$% to confirm whether they are on or not. And to make matters worse, "Meeting Summaries" is missing from the sidebar menu. I can no longer access any of the meeting notes created from client meetings.

I'm wondering if either of you found a fix? I seem to be in the same boat as I am the only person who owns/uses this Zoom account yet I cannot figure out how to make sure a summary can be generated after the meeting.

Hi there.

Zoom did get back to me and explained the process. (Note, I have been using notes ever since and never had to change any settings so their UI update eff'ed up the previous ones.).

Spoiler alert: As an admin, you will need to turn off "summaries by email only" button which is well buried in settings.

Here's the menu and sub menu path after you sign in -

Admin > Account Management > Account Settings > AI Companion (tab) > Click Manage Settings (blue button)

Scroll to find setting option to toggle it off:

Only share meeting summaries by email

When this setting is selected, summaries will only be shared to users by email. Users will not be able to view or edit summaries on the Zoom client or web portal.

Toggle off and lock that bad boy.

(Note, keep scrolling after the AI Companion meeting summary section as it's located further down after "Remind me to turn on AI Companion ..." option.)

Hope this helps.

John

p.s. It works as it once did though I always check before a meeting starts to make sure it is on. I don't trust Zoom folks after this experience.
