closed captioning

I am trying to set up closed captioning for a meeting on zoom but the instructions mention account management and such on "settings" but this does not appear.  I really need to sort this out but I have no idea if it is on or not.  Under accessibility it appears to be "on" but I have no idea how to test it?  Do people who need closed captioning have something that will let them access it on zoom or would everyone see it?  If it is everyone then it must not be on.

I am technically not astute at all so forgive the stupidity of this question.

Thank you

Hi, Frederique.

Login into Zoom.us and go to https://success.zoom.us/profile/setting and see if you have a setting called Closed captioning. If it does not appear there, you need to reach out to someone in your account with Owner or Admin privileges, so that they can enable it for you.

You can use this link for reference: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/4409683389709

I hope this information will be of help.

Hi,

Do you happen to know how we can have the option for the participant to choose the language of his caption? (e.g. Presentation in english but we would like that participants can choose french captions or english. We also would love to save both as a verbatim of the meeting.

Thanks for reading and trying to help.

Hi, Christina.

Right now the auto CCs are in English only, but you can use people to do the live interpretation. For reference: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360034919791-Using-Language-Interpretation-in-your-meeting...

In a near future, I am sure we will have it for other languages too.
