Hi, 

 

If I want to make a colleague a co-host during a webinar, does this colleague need a webinar licence?

I do need to make someone else host or co-host for a regular meeting next week when I cannot attend myself. If I cannot make him co-host before the meeting starts, so he can run the meeting,  how can I do that please? I do not wish to have to cancel the whole meeting for everyone.

Oops! Does this refer to ZOOM Meeting or Webinar? I'm referring to ZOOM Meeting.

@PaulS Co-hosts cannot be assigned before a meeting. Only during.

What you'll need is to assign a alternative host. Steps to do this on your Zoom meeting are found below.

Please note: 

  • Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
  • Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher
  • Both users need to be Licensed and on the same account
  • Alternative hosts must be signed in to Zoom with the correct account in order to be granted the host or co-host permissions
