Assisting Host

Scenario:
Host does all the speaking.

Co-host performs all the technical operations for the host such as:

  • open, share, maximize, and close documents on host PC
  • navigate opened documents on host PC

The above is the goal.   I guess you could call the above scenario Remote Control.

Is this possible with Zoom?

The direct answer to your question is No. But I’m not sure why the co-host must take control over the Host’s PC – Why can’t the host share the documents and the co-host use screen share from his/her PC?

I produce many meetings for others and often do the Screen Sharing for folks not familiar with Zoom. I use a DropBox File Request URL, they drop their PowerPoint files in, I share them.

If you’re insistent on controlling the other person’s PC, there are other tools designed for this purpose. I use ConnectWise – there are many others.
