popup ads while using a paid subscription to Zoom with Europe

Today my class and I Zoomed with a friend in France. (I have a paid subscription, she does not.) I sent her a link to join. After awhile, she said that a popup ad appeared and blocked her view of us. She was frustrated, because she couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. She did not have Zoom installed on her computer.

Is there any way to avoid these popups? I've never had it happen when I Zoom with friends here in the U.S.

@RichardBerrong When in a Zoom meeting there shouldn't be any popups that can obscure the view of the meeting screen.

Most likely the popup was generated from a site she was viewing on the browser. The best thing to do in that situation would be to exit out of the browser window causing the problem.
