I am curious to know from Healthcare facilities what the opinions are on recording meetings to the cloud. Due to concerns about HIPAA, our organization does not allow recording to the cloud. We only allow local recording and then store the recording internally for more control, and security. Do you allow or not allow cloud recording, and why?

Greetings,
The decision to store or not store recordings is a policy decision for each organization (as you eluded to). If you do choose to store clinician/ provider interaction videos and have a BAA with Zoom the information will be in the proper environment under your BAA. I've met with and discussed this with literally hundreds of organizations and there is no "set way," but most tend not to record and store provider/patient encounters but that is an individual decision that each organization has to make.

One more thought based on your questions... Most organizations that do record and save PHI in a recorded format do use the Zoom cloud but you can configure to save to local storage space..etc..
