Restrict company domains from personal Zoom account registration

MicM

Hello! Is there a way to restrict users from registering to a Zoom personal account using our company domains? We want to avoid users from having to register with their company email with a personal Zoom account, only to later on find out that they qualify for a Company account and we have issues converting that account over from a personal to our Zoom company account. Thank you!

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @MicM.

I don’t think there’s a way to force Zoom to refuse a registration for a specific domain.

Changing a user’s account from external to internal should be easy. See this Zoom Support article for details:

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360028938451-Adding-existing-users-to-a-paid-account

Essentially:

  1. You enter the user’s email address and indicate which licenses should be granted
  2. They receive an email inviting them
  3. Assuming they proceed, if their external account was a paid account, they have the option of getting a prorated refund or transfer the prorated balance as a credit to new account owner.

That’s it — their Zoom user login is now tied to your corporate account.
