Why does the sound quality of other apps get impacted when participating in a Zoom meeting (even when muted)?  Is there a way to fix this or work around it? BackgroundI regularly host drop-in Zoom meetings (e.g., office hours for an instructor).  Often, the Zoom meeting will be empty unless someone drops in to get help.  While waiting for someone to join, I am often doing other things including listening to music, watching a video, or similar (which I pause/stop when someone joins).  I am always muted when doing this. The audio is great when Zoom is not in a meeting.  However, as soon as I join a Zoom meeting, the audio quality of the non-Zoom apps drop significantly.  As soon as I close the Zoom meeting, the audio quality returns to normal. I have tried changing audio settings in various ways (including selecting all of the various options in the "Audio Profile" section of the Audion settings) and have not seen any specific improvements.&nb

We have a conference room set up with big screen, camera, and mic/speaker on the table. When someone wants to use this for a Zoom meeting, they connect the cables - but they also have to change Zoom's settings for camera, mic, and speaker. When they go back to their desk or on the road and want to use Zoom, they have to change Zoom's settings again. This is a) cumbersome, and b) hard for some of our technically-challenged users to cope with. Is there any way to switch between groups of settings? Spelunking through AppData, it appears that settings are buried in a number of database files. (I was hoping for an ini or json file)

Hi everyone,I’m using Zoom on a Mac and had previously uploaded a custom background image. I’ve deleted the image, tried resetting my settings, uninstalled Zoom (even using Terminal and deleting library files), and reinstalled everything fresh. But the background still appears in every meeting — even though it shows as “None.” It’s like the image is permanently stuck and now labeled as “None.” Has anyone experienced this? Any tips to fully wipe the background from my account or force Zoom to refresh the virtual backgrounds?Thanks in advance!Sandra B1.

Hello, can anybody help me with troubleshooting zoom?Meeting organisator has a list of emails, he does not send any invitations. Other people see the meeting in their accounts. I don't see the meetings. The problem is on my tablet and on one of my phones. I see the meetings and can participate on another phone. Yesterday I was able to see the meetings in zoom web interface on my tablet, I was able to start the meeting somehow. But now all the meetings disappeared. What should I do?

I was working with a customer who had a brand new Dell XPS 15 9520. They are experiencing a problem with audio as follows:1. Audio works completely fine (mic and speakers) outside of Zoom2. When joining a Zoom meeting through their Outlook calendar, Zoom seems to disable the audio devices altogether. Zoom says that it is unable to detect audio devices and to switch to another device. This issue persists after the meeting has ended and then the PC will not play any audio. The sound devices are still listed in the device manager. 3. When the PC is rebooted, the audio comes back. When starting a meeting from the Zoom desktop client, the problem does not occur. This seems to only occur when the meeting is joined via invite link on an Outlook calendar. For troubleshooting:1. Reinstalled Zoom desktop client and Zoom Outlook plugin from zoom.us2. Uninstalled NVIDIA audio driver3. Installed realtek audio driver 6.0.9285.1 from dell.com/support. I have not seen this issue on any

At some point I stopped being able to schedule recurring meetings. I just started receiving the mentioned code. I had subscribed into and integrated it with Calendly and then canceled the subscription. Not sure if this is causing it.

Okay, chatbot failed miserably. When I answer or make calls on my laptop using my AirPods the called person cannot hear me. When I delete Zoom and all its files, my calls can be heard just fine. When I reinstall, the receiver is again not able to hear me at all. The Audio Codecs are seizing control of my AirPods volume and making them useless when Zoom is loaded on my device. What ya' got for me? Hope a real live person can help. My work requires I use Zoom or I wouldn't. FaceTime works just as good for me. 

Hi, I’m having an issue with the Zoom mobile app. In every meeting I join, the only control that appears is Unmute. I don’t see Start Video, Share Screen, Participants, or More, even when I tap the screen. What I’ve tried: My camera works in the Zoom preview before joining a meeting Rejoined meetings Updated to the latest version Uninstalled and reinstalled the app Joined the official Zoom Test Meeting (https://zoom.us/test) — still the same problem Confirmed that hosts have not disabled video Extra detail: If I switch my phone into split-screen or zoomed display layout, the controls appear. But when I return to single-screen mode, they disappear again. This looks like a UI scaling bug. Phone: [insert your phone model + OS version here] Is anyone else experiencing this? Hi,I would like to switch over to zoom phone from our current cloud pbx provider. I will be buying new phones likey cisco 9861 or poly e550. \1) Can I set a BLF button on the phone to toggle between business hours and after hours for the auto attendant? We often stay late or arrive early and want the ability to answer calls. Is there another easy way to accomplish this?2) I have two employees who work from home on occasion. Can I setup two phones for each of those users without paying an additional monthly fee? As I understand it, a user can have 3 devices - just confirming. We will all share a single number.3) I currently have workplace pro that I use just for zoom meetings. I see I can mix and match plans. So could I buy the 15 unlimited plan for 3 employees then the pro plus for myself to add zoom meetings capability?4) Can I create 4 park locations. For example, 70, 71, 72, 73 then easily park a call in that location? Thank you very much for your time. 

I installed zoom 6.60 on ubuntu 22.04 LTS. This was not able to open a meeting window when joining to a meeting. After uninstalling zoom, installing zoom version 6.1.11 and upgrading to zoom 6.6.0 it worked. What is the reason and what can i do to make zoom 6.6.0 work directly?

Hi, I am having troubles to join a meeting on Ubuntu with a version larger than 6.3.11 (7212).The connection to the meeting works fine, but after following the link or enter meeting ID and passcode nothing happens. Nothing in the logs, no hidden window or process. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to install download and install 6.3.11 (7212). Considering the Cisco 9861. I looked through the feature list provided by  zoom. I see that aim call parking and group call pickup are not available on the cisco 9800 series. Any idea when/if they are coming? To clarify, aim call parking allows a blf key to be used to park a call and then another can retrieve it. With respect to group call pickup, if it is not supported, does this mean that these phones cannot answer a call the rings to a group? Thanks

Is there a way to have closed captioning always enabled at a system level, without having to request this be turned on by the meeting host in each meeting?

Hi. How can I share audio on Zoom from one application only? I am hosting an All Hands. The PowerPoint presentation has embedded intro/outro audio tracks. During the presentation, other audio-generating applications will be running on my computer, like Slack. I don't want my Slack notification, Outlook notification, etc. sounds to be heard by the attendees.   Related: Is it finally possible to toggle audio share without stopping/restarting the share? That would be a sort-of acceptable solution, as the notification sounds would only come through during that brief period of time.

I was trying to download the files for a video recording. I selected "Record a separate audio file of each participant" in the settings. There were 2 participants in the recorded Zoom call.   I downloaded the video files and also an audio file but there doesn't appear to be separate audio files for each speaker.  I did receive this message when downloading the files - "The separate audio file of each participant won't be included, you can download them in the list."   What list?  There does not appear to be a list of separate audio files.The cloud recordings list indicates that there are 5 files for the particular recording, which I assume are the speaker view, the gallery view, the combined audio file (both participants) and one audio file for each of the participants.  But there appears to be no way to access the separate audio files.I am obviously missing something but what that might be is not intuitive.Thanks for your help!
