We have a large number of lecturers at our institute wanting to use Linux as their system (primarily, because they're teaching Linux directly or DevOps/develpment and it's nice to be on the same system you're teaching).  Problem is, Zoom Meetings app is borderline unusable when combined with remote support or screen share. Greatest issues are: 1. When providing remote support to a student, lecturers are unable to type certain keys - such as 's', 'p' and several others. Capitalised versions are fine, however certain keys are interpreted by the remote system as shortcuts. For example, when I press 'p' on the Linux machine, the macOS remote client 'beeps' - same beep as when an invalid key is pressed. Similarly, for example, pressing 'z' on Linux causes Mission Control to appear! This means we can't type anything (such as fixing commands or code) for our students.  2. I made a similar reply in a conversation between @Ohkawa and @itfreshman1 but got no respose, so I an creating this new post.   I have the Zoom app on my MacBook and on my iPhone. Every time I click on a link sent to me for a Zoom meeting when using my laptop, a new Zoom installer package downloads. I have no option to refuse or cancel it. This never happens on my iPhone, even if I am signing in with both devices to the same meeting, meaning that the settings by the host aren't dictating that the download occurs (unless of course every single host has chosen to make laptops download the app but not phones). As soon as the download is over, my existing app opens and I'm able to join the meeting. If I have a day during which I am joining multiple meetings, that many installer packages are in my download folder by the end. How can I make this stop?   

I’m a participant in a meeting and there is another participant whose camera doesn’t allow her live picture to be been. My moodle is installed in a folder (moodle) and the url is something like this https://host/moodleWhen I configure the activity using the LTI external tool everything seems to be ok but when I open the activity the actual redirected URL is https://host/mod/lti/auth.php, without the moodle folder (the expected URL is https://host/moodle/mod/lti/auth.php). Am I missing something? Or is my configuration not supported and Zoom LTI wants Moodle to be installed in the domain root?Best regardsMassimo

Hello, my friends!I have been using Zoom for a short time, but there is something that is bothering me. I use Word a lot to write texts, as I work in journalism, and every time I execute the shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + C" in Word (which is a very common shortcut in Word and one that I use frequently), the Zoom window for screen recording opens and I cannot execute the command in Word. In other words, Zoom has the same command as Word. However, even with Zoom closed, when I try to execute this command in Word, I am prevented because the computer understands that the command is for Zoom, not for Word.I would like you to help me go into Zoom settings and change this command, please, as it is greatly hindering my work!

We have a a conference room that has a single large screen for meeting materials. I want to add a second large screen the can be used for zoom participants. I would need some kind of webcam and microphone for that display. What works best?

Greetings -- I have been receiving error messages from Cloudflare when I try to access Zoom from links I receive stating that I am being blocked.  The group sending the link has no idea why I would be blocked.  Has anyone else had this happen?

Is it possible to create a directory of our important vendor contacts for our Zoom Phone users? We recently deployed Zoom Phones, and users have requested that key vendor phone numbers be added for easy access. These contacts would include our IT support team’s direct number, building maintenance, and other frequently used vendors. I am the account admin/owner.

I've been reading that when I use my Yamaha MG10XU mixer, the voice output to zoom (and then to remote attendees) is reduced and I must increase the gain and consequently more noise.    Is this true?  I'm running W11 on a thinkpad i7 64 bit, 24gb Memory.  Using Ethernet or wifi connections?  Zoom Ver 6.5.12 Thank you for your assistance.  Peter

I cannot logon to the App on several different machines. Resetting password does not help. Logging into the web works fine every time. Is there a lockout somewhere that I am not aware of? The account is a corporate assigned id. Thanks.

Our organization has been using Zoom for a decade now. We have very participatory meetings with large groups where we invite raised hands for questions. But can put a strain on the host when they would like to answer all questions, where it could feel a lot cleaner to be able to stop hands being raised at a certain point.I see Zoom have been implementing many AI features, but have seen many requesting this feature for years. As far as we can tell we have all the correct settings turned on to record transcripts, however none of our webinars have any VTT files associated with them, its only the MP4 file. How can we ensure transcripts are happening and are accessible?
