Disabling Raise Hands

Our organization has been using Zoom for a decade now. We have very participatory meetings with large groups where we invite raised hands for questions. But can put a strain on the host when they would like to answer all questions, where it could feel a lot cleaner to be able to stop hands being raised at a certain point.

I see Zoom have been implementing many AI features, but have seen many requesting this feature for years. Thank you.

Hi @lm-studio ,

There has been discussion about this wihtin @zoom and from the community.

For meetings the advice is
https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0058404

For webinars you can stop this.

please like if this solves your question

Hi John. We use meetings as we like the interaction with large groups of people, and so would not use webinars. The first link you posted addresses reactions but not raised hands (not shown under the list of 6 emoji reactions). Ideally, we’d like an option to uncheck “allow participants to raise hands” when it feels like a good cutoff point for taking more questions.

hi @lm-studio ,

Like I said there has been a lot of disucssion about this, but Zoom has not exteneded the control to meetings.
it just offers the contorl of other feedback.

In reponse I did create the “handRaised App’ in the ZOom marketplace, it will help monitor and kitck those using the hand raised to be disruptive, but a simple disable is not there.
