Can logon to Web but not App

I cannot logon to the App on several different machines. Resetting password does not help. Logging into the web works fine every time. Is there a lockout somewhere that I am not aware of? The account is a corporate assigned id. Thanks.

Hi Jerilgatwith - when was the last time you successfully logged into the Zoom Desktop App? You mention that your account is corporate provided - is your company requiring that you use mfa or sso to login?

Issue first observed 12/10. I have daily Zoom meetings that worked before that. No we do not use MFA or SSO yet for Zoom.

Update - fresh installs of app, upgrade to latest app are no help. Another password reset today and web works but app (on multiple devices) will not accept it.

I’ve run into something similar before with a corporate-assigned account. If the web login works every time, it’s usually not a password or lockout issue. In my case, the app was being blocked by our company’s SSO / conditional access policies.

Things that helped me narrow it down:

    • The app required device compliance or MDM enrollment

    • MFA was enforced only for app sign-ins

    • App sign-ins were restricted by IP or location

    • Reinstalling the app + clearing cached credentials

If none of that applies, it’s most likely an admin-side restriction rather than something you can fix yourself. Worth having IT check the sign-in logs for the app specifically.
