In Zoom Sessions, people can register for our virtual event by using either their Zoom login or an email address. In our case, most people will be using the email address option. Currently, the Zoom Sessions registration process sends the registrant an email with a code. However, this is very inconvenient for many of our registrants, some of whom are signing up on behalf of their coworkers or supervisors. Is there a way to disable this security hurdle so registrants can simply enter their email and proceed?
It's not possible to tag a guest in a Zoom doc comment, which basically means you can't use a guest; otherwise, you have to write them an email to say "hey, i tagged you" which is pretty pointless then having guests in docs It only allows tagging team members.Settings do not change anything. I've checked all settings within the Docs workspace. Does anyone else have this issue with Zoom any expected resolution for that
Good afternoon! I have been researching online about if people are able to use the automated zoom caption feature to display captions onto a separate monitor and have not had any luck. When the automated captions are enabled, you can move the caption window around your screen with your mouse, but Zoom will not let you move the caption window onto another extended display even if you have "dual monitors" enabled. I am thinking dual monitors is only helpful for maybe like a speaker view on one monitor and content or gallery on the other. The internet tells me one could use OBS, so I was curious if anyone has downloaded OBS software and tried this out, or if there is another easier way to display automated captions. The specific use case for this is that we would like to project automated captions to a 65" monitor in our theater to an audience without the zoom speaker/gallery view behind it. Thanks very much in advance, I appreciate it!

I have scheduled a zoom meeting for several days from now and have already sent the log-in information to about 20 people. Several of the people are not familiar with Zoom, and I would like to do several practice sessions with each of them before the real meeting. Can I use the same log-in information (Meeting ID and Password) for the practice meetings that will be used for the scheduled meeting? In other words, if I initiate a practice meeting using the same login, will that count as the scheduled meeting, "erase" the login information, and make it necessary to schedule another meeting with a different log-in and then notify all 20 people of this change? Thanks for your advice?
I keep turning on the confirmation email. But after a period of time (e.g. a few hours) the message comes back. Registration confirmation email is currently turned off. We recommend turning it on or sending your own confirmation email so that attendees can join the session smoothly. Turn On Confirmation Email. Why is this happening and how do I stop it? col
Most of my calls are booked through Hubspot which is integrated with Zoom, and I have the AI Companion set to generate summaries automatically on all of my calls. This has been working just fine since the AI companion launched, however all of a sudden last week any calls that I had in Zoom that had been booked/created via Hubspot stopped having the AI companion start automatically. I have to manually start the companion for those calls. Calls that I create/start directly in Zoom have the companion start automatically. Is this happening to anyone else?
Dear Zoom community,I’m really hoping for your help. I’m not techy, so I’m trying to include all the relevant info – apologies in advance for any missing bits/things that aren’t clear.I have a Macbook 13” running Sonoma 14.7.1, and am using Zoom Version: 6.2.11 (43613). I use Zoom professionally, but as the Mac camera is such poor quality, I have been using an external camera – a Logitech for Creators StreamCam, full HD 1080p 60Fps, USB-C. Alas, something very weird started to happen in Zoom about 4 months ago where the visual screen glitches, splitting the screen repeatedly. This is also happening with another x2 cameras I got to try and resolve the problem – a Logitech Webcam C920 and a Razer Kiyo X (both of which are USB-B so needed a converter). All of the cameras work fine in a Lenovo laptop running Windows, and they all work fine in other video apps on the Mac, like Google meet, Photobooth etc (although once the splitting was happening in the L
Every time I host a webinar with a panelist I have to set the screen sharing during the practice session. Is there any way to set this as a default (host and panelists can share) so that it carries over to every webinar I set up?

From a previous Zoom-version I had the possibility to set as a background colors. So I've chosen the color black. The effect is now, whenever I start a ZOOM-Call the background is always black and when I try to select "none" in the menu it does not react and the background remains black unless I select one of the pictures as an example...only then the black background is exchanged by the new selected one. I did some testing with Microsoft Teams and there the black background is not there....and also testings on logitec software camera settings which show no black background. This proves me that there is a bug within ZOOM (!)I'm looking forward receiving hints on how to eliminate that black background. thx!
I have the latest zoom version on ubuntu 22.04, and since this version it is no longer possible for me to open the message window, nor the reactions, nor anything else. Does anyone have a way to solve it?
Hi all I'm wondering if anyone could help me. We use Zoom rooms to deliver online courses and plan to record and transcribe a long course over a period of a week. I would like to know whether the recording is of good quality and the transcription well transcribed and understandble. Many thanks in advance.
I host a class on ZOOM.In the last few weeks on a regular basis I get chucked out, just a tiny blip of internet strength and it chucks me out.It doesn't look professional and if I am recording, this is an added extra issue. My internet provider says I have good connection and a strong signal.I have a TP link connection as well to my desktop, so this should help with connection.Does anyone else experience this problem? Can I do anything to help with this?It is frustrating it has just started happening in the last few weeks. Thanks
We are a church and we would like to use the same credentials to host the meeting from different locations. Currently anytime a different person or a different location is used a pass code is sent to the email account that is required for sign in as host. This really makes it difficult if not impossible for us to work with. Is there a work around or some other way we can allow multiple people to sign in as host for our meetings. Please note we only need one host for the meeting and each meeting will be at a unique time. So, only one meeting will be running at any time.
All of a sudden starting May 1st I can no longer disable my waiting room. I did not make any changes to my settings. It used to be I could start my meeting, let people file into the waiting room and either admit them one by one or uncheck "enable waiting room" and from then on anyone who entered could just come on in. Once I start teaching/talking I cannot be monitoring the waiting room! I've tried adjusting every lock/unlock/passcode/no passcode feature to no avail. I'm beyond frustrated with this. My entire business hinges on the smooth entrance of people into my classes!
Hello all. I would like to use my iPad as a whiteboard for my zoom sessions. i have followed all the instructions I have found both here and online but nothing seems to work and get me there. I was hoping someone could give me step by step instructions who is udsing it this way. Thanks
We have a 10month study curriculum that we're doing with a static group of participants each week. Currently, we have 20 participants - 2 of which are facilitators. After we meet as a large group, we want to breakout into 2 breakout rooms for the facilitated discussions. We would not complete our curriculum in a reasonable time if all are in one large discussion each week. But, I don't want "two groups" to naturally form among the larger group.I want to randomly assign 18 of the participants between each breakout room each week - but I want our 2 facilitators to never be in the same breakout room. Facilitators will be host/co-host. Can I have zoom assign the host/co-host to different breakout rooms and randomly assign everyone else between them each week?(I saw a similar question from 2023 in this board - but there was no answer to that post.)Thanks,Dave
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I'm currently setting up a touch device (digital whiteboard) in a classroom to create a hybrid teaching experience. The idea is to run Zoom on the device (which uses Windows) and have an extended screen where the teacher can see only the participants' video. So far, things are working well: when the teacher starts the meeting and shares their screen, the content is displayed correctly on the main device, and the participants’ video appears on the secondary screen — without interruptions. However, there is an issue: when a student or participant shares their screen, their content is shown on the secondary screen instead of the main one. This behavior is unexpected and problematic, as we want shared content to always appear on the main display and have the control toolbar always there as well.We found a temporary workaround by connecting a mouse and manually dragging the Zoom window back to the main screen. While this works, it’s not ideal since th
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I’m setting up a hybrid classroom experience using Zoom. The teacher will use a digital whiteboard that runs Windows and has a built-in front-facing camera. We’d like to add a second camera at the back of the classroom to provide another angle, but we haven’t found a clean way to do this yet.Currently, both cameras work with Zoom — we can switch between them manually — but what we really want is to display both camera feeds simultaneously, or at least treat the second camera as if it were a separate participant (like a guest in the meeting).I’ve seen some suggestions recommending joining the meeting again from the same device using the browser or another account to use the second camera, but that feels a bit clunky and confusing — especially for teachers who need a simple, reliable setup. Is there a way to configure Zoom or use a plugin/add-on that allows both cameras to work more seamlessly during the same session? Ideally, we’re looking f
I was told that I couldn’t initiate breakout rooms for a 6 person meeting if I used my I pad. That I needed a computer rather than an I pad. Is that true/? Is there a work around?
Please help me as I found no way of solving this bug. Everything worked fine yesterday, but today Zoom just won't see my webcam and mic, the headset works fine - I can hear the sounds, but people don't hear my voice. The test failed, the camera is in the list chosen as main, but I can see only a black screen. So I checked my camera and the mic - they work fine, but not in Zoom! I'm so frustrated as I teach online every day and have paid Zoom for good connection, longer lessons and a permanent link! I spent all day trying to reinstall Zoom, update drivers, restart my laptop, change cameras, but no result. Zoom doesn't see my laptop camera either! Please help.
I am new and having the same problem... I am unable to call the UAE, Armenia, and Turkey. Says "Sorry, we cannot complete your call. Your service plan does not support calling this destination." Is there a setting I need to change, or what?I could call the US, Canada, UK, and other European countries without any issue. I subscribed to the US & Canada unlimited calling plan, $15 a month, and am using the Pay-as-you-go option to call the rest of the world.
