I am trying to connect an external mic with iPhone and while most of the other apps like voice memo, etc recognizes the mic and works on that mic - while connecting to Zoom meeting, it uses the iPhone's in-built mic and does not use the external mic. I tried looking up settings but didn't see an option to switch the mic. How can I switch the mic that zoom uses?
When I get an SMS or a voicemail on my Zoom workplace phone account, I want the system to send me an email alert. I'm used to Google Voice doing this, but just switched to Zoom phone. Please tell me there's a way?Thanks!
Does Zoom offer Chat Statistics ? I am inquiring if there is a way to concisely view the following chat metrics:High Priority-how many messages were sent, and by whom-how many times a person was @ in the chat/channel-how many times a mention group was @ in chat/channelLow Priority: -who interacted with messages (sorted into emoji & reply)-view number of daily/lifetime clicks of chat resources and by whom-added & removed list of members time stamped
I've enabled original sound for musicians (and yes, clicked the button at the top to actually turn it on), enabled Stereo in the audio settings. Even went to my account settings to enable and force stereo audio for clients. I've recorded the meeting onto the computer. And sound is mixed down to mono... The music I'm playing is stereo, the microphone device is sending stereo, but Zoom is outputting and recording a mixed down to mono version which sounds hollow because the L and R channels of the source are out of phase and when they're simply added they cancel each other out. How do I get Zoom to actually record and send stereo audio?
After I record a part of a meeting I wait for the pop up to tell me that it is ready , then i go into the recording area of the site, I delete the video file, and the translation file leaving only the audio file. I then download it to my computer. It downloads as an MP4 file, which is not how I want the file to download. How can i get it to d/l as mp3? also, Out of the 3 files that are recorded when using the recording feature. I always delete the video and the translation. (first and last file listed in drop down list) Is it possible to turn off the creation of the video recording and the transcript prior to recording? That way only the audio is created?

It would be really nice if we were able to choose where a phone call notification popped up on our screen. Currently, there is only one option: a giant white pop up in the middle of your screen while you're trying to do your job. I'm an administrative assistant and I watch several different phone lines, but I don't always have to answer them. Jabber has a very unintrusive phone call notification pop up in the lower right hand corner of the screen right above the system tray. This option needs to be added for Zoom. Apologies for not knowing what all the official technology terms are, I am not a tech person.
We use the zoom call as our main number for work. I had to block someone today. Our parent company is the one who sends us the zoom invites and they record our calls and such. Ar they able to see if I have blocked numbers. I am on a desktop with the newest version of zoom
I have two Macs, (Mini M3 and Macbook Air M4), both running latest OS and latest Zoom Workplace versions. On both of them when I screen share, my viewers see only the black rectangle (which I also see in the little view window that appears near the controls). I have similar hardware with the same OS but an older version of Zoom that works fine. Of course, I suspect the new Zoom version. We also have some cybersecurity software running on these machines so this is another suspect. Anyone else seeing this or have any suggestions?Thanks,Rob
Job recruiter shared a Zoom email link to view and schedule an interview. I am using a personal laptop. Every time I click on the link it leads me to a Zoom client update page, begins update process, gets installer package, download begins, and then just cycles. First time I uninstalled Zoom and reinstalled to version 6.5.10. Ended MSI installer package in Task Manager. Used email link again. Same result. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom four times, each time attempting to utilize the emailed link from the recruiter, and getting the same result. "Zoom Client needs to upgrade". Have tried this with both 32 and 64 bit versions. I have the basic free version. Oddly enough the same process and result, or lack thereof, occurs on my iphone. Please help! Is this an issue with the scheduler's version of Zoom requiring an updated version? Even if this were the case, my fully updated Zoom install doesn'
Hi there! I have a team of employees that work remotely, some of which are trainees. As part of their training, I have them to listen in on some calls that I have with clients (with the client's permission, of course), then speak with them as a group after to call to cover some teaching points.To date, I've been completing this by calling the members of my team prior to the call, asking the team to be on mute, then calling the client and conferencing everyone together. Once the client drops off, I continue with the team. I'm looking for a Zoom-based solution where I can achieve all of this without having to conference in by phone. Any suggestions on how this could be achieved? I have the basic, free, Zoom account.
This is a feature request. There should be a method for Zoom ZRA retention settings to trump Zoom recordings retention settings. From discussions with support, if Zoom recordings are set to have a shorter retention period than ZRA, the recordings will be delete/lost for ZRA based on the general recording retention settings.This would give flexibility to automate deletion from regular non ZRA users, without loosing the data from ZRA.
Hello Zoom Community, I manage a University Television Studio, we use Zoom so remote students may watch and interact with their courses in real time in a distance learning model. Zoom has worked pretty well generally, but for the last while, perhaps since Workplace became the standard, we've had a video issue we can't seem to resolve. Our Studio space has LED panel lighting on a grid, at the Presenters desk we have a 75" Smart board and behind that a light grey curtain which is lit with an RGB light bar, the colour blue really seems to be an issue with Zoom, as the intensity of the blue light is increased, the video is almost keyed out in the blue areas but black. No other colour the light bar produces has this effect, and using Teams I can't recreate the issue no matter how intense the light is. We send Program video to the Zoom Laptop (A Dell) via an Epiphan SDI2USB 3.0 converter. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
I have a part time job and use the workplace app for those meetings. I also have my own business and need to keep my meetings for my business separate. I used to use my web account for my personal business. Is this still possible? Zoom seems to misunderstand that I have two separate needs for using Zoom and thinks I just have the one job.
I have a personal free account (email 1). I also have a corporate account as a user, with a different email (email 2). I sign into 'email 2' account and set up my meetings there, but the invite from zoom is sent from 'email 1'. I need it to be sent from the 'email 2' account instead. How do I get this to happen please?
I just tried to get support from the AI bot - what an experience! It repeatedly asked me for security information - even though we went through that information at the start of the call. It then kept forgetting what it had told me and looping with the same information. It repeatedly interrupted me and didnt listen. It was challenging and frustrating - and a complete waste of time.
A meeting that I have created in Google Calendar is not showing under Meetings (Upcoming) in the web portal: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming I connected my Google calendar and it does show on the desktop app under Calendar, but I don't have access there to edit the settings (I want to transfer hosting). Please advise how I can find this meeting and transfer hosting! I have tried removing the Zoom meeting and adding it again in the calendar invite, but that hasn't worked.
I want to share a Screenshot of my PC, which unfortunately I am not able or allowed to upload to you. Now the main reason for my Screenshot uploading was to reveal you the annoying continues popping of message chat box during live session on zoom whenever someone comments.I am a Professional Engineer, and it hurts me to tell you that in such advanced time zoom is unable to provide any option/feature for minimizing the chat box that constantly pops up every single time someone comments, its so unacceptable.It hinders the focus during live sessions, especially if there is some reading material shared by the host and the host which most of the time doesn't reads it makes it difficult to accept that zoom is a friendly user App.Its a Kind request to due address it ASAP, as I found my precious time to be utilized addressing a single simple annoying feature.Thank you.Engr. I am in timezone X, but most people I meet with are in timezone Y.I am the one who schedules the meetings.In order to avoid confusion for other attendees I would like the meeting time in the invitation to reflect as their timezone (Y) not mine (X). Problem: when I create the meeting I select timezone Y but the invitation people receive is still in timezone X. I have read a number of queries about this that do not seem to have been addressed. I contacted Zoom support who told me to try various things that did not work. That even included changing the timezone on my computer which is obviously not a feasible solution since I still need to be using timezone X for myself. I am puzzled that the Zoom software seems incapable of sending an invitation in a different timezone to the one of the person scheduling the meeting. Has anyone figured this out or is it actually a deep flaw in the Zoom code that no-one wants to fix/change?
We are using Zoom Events for our upcoming hybrid multi-day conference. Within that Conference we will have our AGM. Our attendees for the Conference have registered and paid to attend via a different platform - not Zoom Events.Most of our attendees will be in person. But we will have a few attending the online version of the Conference. However, for the AGM session, we want to open it up to all of our members, including those who have not registered for the rest of the Conference. We only want them to access that particular session via Zoom online. How can we share them the link for that session, without giving them free access to the rest of the Conference that others have paid for?
My bluetooth headset stopped connecting with Zoom in Dec 2023 (after working for multiple years). The headset still connects to my phone and works with calls, just not in any zoom meetings. I've uninstalled / re-installed the app, multiple times. Switch on/off my phone, restarted.Cleared the Zoom app cache.Checked microphone permissions.Forcestopped the app and re-opened. Feel like I've gone through all the motions, and still not getting anywhere. Please help.thanks
I was hosting a Zoom meeting the other day and one specific participant was having a terrible echo every time he tried to talk. He originally had an external mic but couldn't get his audio correct so he was just using the built in computer speakers and microphone and it was making terrible feedback sounds. And then again tonight I hosted a meeting with only one participant and she was having the same issue just using her iPad. Any advice on how they can fix this? Thank you!
Ever since installing Zoom on my brand new laptop I have had issues with it - doesn't happen on any other device.70% of the time when I try to join a meeting it doesn't allow me and freezes or just doesn't respond and won't work until I turn off and on my laptop.If I don't turn off my laptop it takes 5-10mins to resolve itself and keeps saying "leave meeting and join" and then pops up with the meeting window multiple times as if it is catching up on itself.Have tried checking the audio drivers are all up to date; have uninstalled and installed many times
I recorded a meeting to the cloud. As the host and administrator, where do I find a report that shows me who viewed the recording? I want to know name of person who viewed, the date, and the time it took them to view the recording. Is this possible? When starting a recording, a message appears on the top of the video that says, "Who can see your viewing activity?" The pop up window says, "The host and the account owner can see who you are, your contact information (if you're logged in or provided it) and whether you viewed or downloaded their recording." Where do I find this information? Thank you!Rita
