Joining a meeting problems with recent download

Have returned from vacation to find an updated version of Zoom. Updates have never been a problem. Cannot join a meeting on my iPad, yet it works on my phone. Need it to work on the iPad. Did things like :turned it on and offclosed zoom and try again...
