The problem got solved by - instead of clicking on "sign in with google" (my company uses gsuite) - clicking on SSO. Then i could enter my company domain and all suddenly stuck and i can join and host meetings from my phone - hurray.

Did both - same loop. I click on a meeting in calendar, it launches the work profile zoom, the zoom asks me to sign in, i do, i land in the app's main screen and not in the meeting. I go back to the calendar, click on the meeting link and same thing ...
