What is Zoomtopia?

Zoomtopia is the annual celebration of our customers, partners, and communities seeking to better understand the changing workplace, be inspired about the future, and enable hybrid teams from around the world with a safe and secure communications platform. Everything we do at Zoom - from developing features to building products to providing support - we do it for you, the ones using our communications solutions to make an impact on the world. Zoomtopia offers interactive and engaging sessions, education, experiences, and networking opportunities designed to provide YOU value and offer a glimpse into the future of communications. There’s also world-class entertainment and guest appearances, because, well … you deserve that, too!

When & where is Zoomtopia 2022?

Zoomtopia 2022 is a hybrid event. Our virtual offering is complimentary and open to all attendees.  Americas will run on November 8-9 and EMEA, APAC, and Japan will run virtually on November 17.  The onsite experience will be held on November 8-9 at the San Jose Convention Center and invitations are limited.  Virtual attendees will access Zoomtopia through Zoom Events, our virtual event platform.

Who should attend Zoomtopia and why?

Zoomtopia is for everyone who is passionate about communication, collaboration, and empowering your workforce today and in the future. Zoomtopia will help attendees better understand the changing workplace, enable hybrid teams, and build forward with a safe and secure communications platform. What virtual event platform will Zoomtopia be hosted on?

Zoomtopia will be hosted on Zoom Events, a virtual event platform for hosting single-session or multi-day events.

What is the cost to attend Zoomtopia?

Zoomtopia 2022 is a hybrid event. Our virtual offering is complimentary and open to all attendees. The paid in-person experience is $1,495 and invitations are limited. In-person will be hosted at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. More details to come!

Will live content be recorded and available after the event?

Yes, all keynotes and many of the breakout sessions will be available for on-demand viewing. An email will also go out with links to the complete library of content in the days that follow the event. 

Is there an opportunity to sponsor at Zoomtopia?

What time zone will the event be in?

Zoomtopia will have regional agendas for our global customers. We have made considerations in scheduling our programming to serve the needs of our broad, globally-based audience as much as possible. More details to come!  

What languages will be supported at Zoomtopia?

All keynote presentations and breakout sessions will be held in English. For keynotes and certain sessions, we are planning to offer live interpretations in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. More languages may be available. More details to come!

Do we have a mobile app for the event? 

For the in-person experience, we will have a mobile app. Further information will be provided to onsite attendees closer to the event date.

What is the theme for Zoomtopia 2022?

Who is Happy the Humpback Whale?

Happy the Humpback Whale is Zoomtopia’s mascot. She represents the whimsy attitude we aim to bring to our annual conference. Happy made her debut in 2018 at Zoomtopia’s “under the sea” event as a 30-foot sculpture hanging above the keynote stage. Since then, Happy has joined every Zoomtopia, no matter the theme. In 2019, Zoomtopia took Happy “out of this world” as she flew through outer space. In 2020, she took our virtual audience on a ride to the world of “epic environments.” In 2021, she appeared in various exhibits throughout our “Imaginarium,” and in 2022, she will portal-jump to “explore new dimensions!” Be sure to keep an eye out for Happy at every Zoomtopia. With a new theme comes a new place to spot Happy!

What is your cancellation policy if I am sick and cannot attend the in-person Zoomtopia event?

If you are sick and cannot attend Zoomtopia, we will miss you on-site! Please submit a cancellation request using the link in your confirmation email and we will provide a full refund for the price of your ticket within 7 business days. Please note that you are responsible for canceling your hotel reservation and all hotel charges for your stay. Refer to hotel cancellation policies and dates assigned directly by the properties to avoid charges. Zoom is not responsible for any refunds or cancellation charges from the hotels.

What are the health & safety requirements for onsite attendees?

After careful consideration, we have decided to remove the vaccine requirement to attend an event, effective immediately.
We will continue to follow local guidelines and conduct contact tracing for exposures at our offices, but will no longer require vaccination status for entry.

I want to present at Zoomtopia. Is there a Call for Speakers?

The Call for Speakers is now closed. We look forward to receiving your submission for our event next year.
