How to stop unwanted webinar invites I never signed up for

A company that I used to subscribe to receive a service from, but I have since cancelled, is continuing to add my name and email details to register to new webinar series. The company is then using this as an excuse to try to continue to charge my credit card to attend and view the webinars.

I never signed up for the webinars and I do not want to receive these spam emails.

How am I able to unsubscribe from these webinars that I never signed up to? (a fraudulent company is using the invites as an excuse to try and charge me for attending the meetings!)

I have the same problem. And it looks like we need to pay Zoom to get answers here because this community is dead. How unfortunate!

Did you find an answer to this issue? I am getting non stop webinar notices from Zoom under a user/ sender I have no contact with.

I have the same issue with a spammer. I opted in to an email list once and

he dumped my name into zoom webinars 4-5 times daily...ie changing the

time for the same webinar. Zoom needs a Cancel on every webinar.

This is grounds for lawsuits.

I am having the exact same problem. I tried forwarding the emails to ***********, but I don't know if they are received or acted upon. I am still getting spam invites.

You need a "Report Spam" on EVERY email like GOto does.

Spam is Spam!!!

Someone really needs to sue you for this overlook

Hello Community Members,

Thank you for your patience and continued support—we truly value your feedback.

We're excited to announce the rollout of our enhanced unsubscribe experience. For lower-tier webinar licenses, all webinar-related emails will now include an unsubscribe link at the bottom. With a single click, recipients can immediately unsubscribe from all webinar communications associated with that Zoom account.

If you change your mind, you’ll have the option to resubscribe right from the confirmation page—making the process quick and seamless.

To help us maintain a trusted email experience, please continue reporting any spam senders via the following link: https://zoom.us/trust-form.

Thank you for being a part of our community as we work to improve your Zoom experience.

That is a good start but the problem is you unsubscribe but they re-subscribe you again, it is a daily constant problem.

Can you address this please as I know many people are having the same problem.

Hi @Buddy8,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.

We've raised your concerns regarding the continued receipt of spam invitations despite unsubscribing. We'll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

In the meantime, we appreciate your patience.

Hi

you keep saying you appreciate our patience - we aren't, not patient at all. This is a MAJOR issue. You need to instigate the ability for us to report spam directly to you from these emails and to initiate some kind of warning to account holders that do it - give them 3 strikes, then limit their account. That'll stop it and your reputation will remain intact.

At the moment it's getting worse everyday

Totally agree, its pure spam.

This is a daily hassle to take time unsubscribing to multiple emails that I didn't subscribe to. It looks like someone got access to Zoom's contact emails and started selling information. It's out of control. Every email is different and they mostly Gmail accounts. You have to do something outside of offering a form. I don't want to click spam because it will stop the very few Zoom people I do need to receive. I recommend not allowing the email addresses to come from Zoom so it will be easy to report spam, block and delete.

This is terrible customer service. You can unsubscribe until your fingers fall off and these emails continue coming and continue getting added to our calendars. I will never use zoom again and you are forcing us to go scorched earth on ZOOM by posting terrible reviews for zoom because of your terrible service and attention to this issue. And, by the way, your chat app is absolutely trash.

I've been with zoom for years to host my private group meetings. This year... I'm getting webinar notifications from zoom from companies and hosts I've never heard of... almost daily. This September my contract is up with zoom and I'll be leaving and forever labeling all zoom communications as spam so I NEVER see them again.

Zoom should have a method to report these directly from the emails instead of unsubscribing from each one as the arrive or having to cancel registrations for meetings/webinars I've never registered for.

And they fill up my calendar. I appreciate the unsubscribe but I didn’t sign up for them in the first place

This is driving me crazy.  I appreciate the unsubscribe they now have, but I don’t subscribe to most of him in the first place. The biggest problem is they show up on my calendar and interfere with scheduling real meetings.  I am collecting these emails and I might post them somewhere. Some are only in business (spam) for a week or so while others last much longer

There is an easy fix for this - but only if Zoom wants to.

Ban or limit the accounts who send the spam emails and calendar entries.

They look shonky anyway.

We could leave a review for Zoom on Capterra etc???

I will add my own voice to this thread. The problem isn't just the webinar email - bad enough, and several times a week they show up. Yes, I get plenty of spam, but Zoom is privileged and gets thru our company spam filters for obvious reasons. Second is that for every one, I have to click "unsubscribe" to avoid the multiple follow-ups ("reminder!" - "hey, your Zoom starts in 15 minutes!"). And finally and worst of all, these unsolicited invites get right through to my inbox because we have Zoom "allowed" in our firm's spam filter.

Please don't make us abandon Zoom in favor of Teams. This is getting out of hand to the point where that consideration is on the table, for the first time since frickin' COVID!

Possible response if Zoom don't want to do anything about this.
Leave a review on Capterra, G2 etc.

If Zoom can't be bothered, then maybe that leaves room for an alternative.

Not Teams though.
