Webinar Problems

I had a webinar last night and I was unable to promote a co-worker as a panelist.  I received an error message each time.  What did I do wrong?

Hi @mwillis

I wonder whether your co-worker was on an out-of-date version of Zoom, or maybe they were joined via the web interface. Though I'm not certain those would be a problem in this case - but it would be useful to know.

Do you remember what the error message was?

Were you able to promote other participants to Panelist without a problem?

Were you the original Host?

Participants (or rather attendees in Webinar) do need to accept the Join as Panelist prompt when they are promoted. If for any reason they cannot get that prompt, or if they don't catch it, that can sometimes cause a problem.

Were you getting the error immediately when trying to promote?
