On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

We have recently started to have problems allowing some guests to record a meeting.  These are individuals who have been able to record at previous meetings.

As the host, I give them permission to record, but on their end they get a notice to ask the administrator to give them permission.   I am still able to record the meeting.

any suggestions???

Hi @JacquiP ,

I would ensure that you are on the latest version of Zoom as there have been a few updates made in the past few weeks. For various individuals all of a sudden having trouble with recording, I would start by ensuring they updgrade to latest version of Zoom as well.

When updates are made and there are version mis-matches on a meeting, some features may not work as intended – an upgrade to the latest version of the software usually fixes this.

I hope this helps!
