Why No Multiple Answers for Custom Registration Questions?

When entering custom registration questions, why is there no option for multiple answers for a meeting (not webinar)? There are only "Short Answer" and "Single Answer."

 

Can a "Multiple Answer" option be added? Seems essential to me, and strange not to be there already. I have several questions that are of the "check all that apply" variety, but that doesn't work with single answer question types.

 

See my attached screen grab. The Multiple Answer option is conspicuously absent. (It would fit beautifully in the empty space. 😉)
