Zoom AI Companion2022-01-26 12:53 PM
Hi,
I am running Fedora Linux 35 with X11 graphical environment.
Since updating to Zoom client 5.9.1.1380-1, there is a significant delay approximately 1 - 2 minutes from the moment I click share screen with the share audio option ticked. When the shared screen is highlighted in green eventually, participants can see the screen but no audio is heard by participants aside from the audio coming through my microphone.
However, share screen with share audio unticked usually shares within seconds.
I have tried reinstalling the Zoom client (uninstall Zoom and remove local configs then reinstall).
Switched from Wayland to X11. (Screen share was not working at all on Wayland).
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. Hoping a solution can be found.

Same issue running Debian 10 based OS. Had to improvise on a project when it didn't work, sad...

Still an issue and it would be helpful if Zoom can acknowledge if a fix is in the works.
@YaBoiBare you able to advise?

Hello @zoomin,
Yes, a fix is in the works now. We are targeting a future release version to be determined. If you look back at previous replies to this thread. I mentioned it.
Thanks,
Brandon
