Recording Recovery

Hi, I've just completed a Zoom recording with audio and video and despite having everything checked and ticked, the recording hasn't saved anywhere is there any way at all of getting this recording? It was an interview with a music hall of famer so don't really want to go back and ask for the interview again as that would be embarrassing for me.

Thx

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @BlastGH.

You don’t mention whether this was supposedly a Cloud or Computer recording.

Cloud recordings always end up in the account of the user who owns the meeting. If you scheduled the meeting and can’t find it in your Zoom Cloud storage, it’s very unlikely that Zoom can help you locate it “elsewhere.”

Computer (Local) recordings will be in the folder indicated by the folder setting in your desktop Recording tab. If the recording is not there, and the raw files made on the date of your meeting are not there, it’s unlikely you’ll find them.  Zoom won’t have any files from a Computer recording session.

Computer recording cannot be made to mobile devices, only to desktops. They can be made by Basic accounts and Licensed accounts.

Cloud recordings can’t be made by Basic accounts.

Hate to say it, but this is usually due to not starting the recording. Always verify that the Cloud or Circle icon at the top right of your screen is visible before proceeding with an important meeting recording. If the recording is important, set Automatically Record to Cloud in the meeting setup.
