PowerPoint in Screen Share playback

When I screen share my PowerPoint presentation while recording my accompanying lecture, and then playback the recording, only half of the PP screen displays. What am I doing wrong?

Hey @schervin unfortunately, once recorded you cannot 'revert recording views' would suggest taking a look into the Recording layouts KB article for next time you record a meeting! 

If you don't mind me asking, how did you share your PowerPoint when recording? Sharing your desktop, PowerPoint application, slides as virtual background, or by file?
