Microphone cutting out and have tried many fixes - due to Windows 11 update?

This began after a Windows 11 update on Saturday. The microphone stops working for 5 - 10 seconds spontaneously. So, I purchased a new webcam (with mic) but it's still happening. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. I changed the microphone settings in Zoom. And it's still happening. I observe two things on the sound monitor on Zoom - sometimes the sound gauge becomes "stuck" at one sound level but my voice isn't being heard and other times it shows no input and my voice isn't being heard. I teach on Zoom - this is a huge problem and I have no idea what to do. Contacted Microsoft and they just tried updating the driver for the camera (which didn't change things). HELP! Thanks.

Please, please. I need further assistance. I spent 4 hours with Microsoft - they reloaded everything and made sure it was was updated, etc. It still cuts out for 5-10 seconds intermittently. I happens with both of my webcams. I tried changing all the advanced mic settings in Zoom and nothing helped. I teach online and this is a huge problem. It began after the recent Windows 11 update, I believe.

Thanks, but that article does not have any information that is new to me. I checked of all that. We are way beyond the simple fixes offered by a search on Google!

Have you found a solution to this problem? I'm having the exact same problem with a Lenovo webcam, tried a lot of things to fix this but none seems to work for me

Yes - I had to connect the webcam through a USB-C port rather than a USB. That was not necessary before that update. Hope that helps.
