Granular Control Over Custom Disclaimer Visibility

I am the owner and IT Admin for a Zoom account. I'm interested in utilizing the custom disclaimer feature but require more granular control over its visibility. Currently, the option to configure the disclaimer seems limited.

Can the custom disclaimer be displayed selectively based on user roles or meeting participants? For example, could the disclaimer appear only for external guests joining the meeting and not for internal team members?

You could program a customized disclaimer to appear as a closed caption using APIs for your meetings depending on criteria you specify. If you are not a developer there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you customize a disclaimer you want to show for your meetings.

That’s a solid question—I’ve run into similar limitations when trying to fine-tune access and visibility settings across platforms. Zoom’s current disclaimer feature definitely lacks the flexibility for role-based display out of the box. You might need to explore API-level customizations or third-party integrations for that kind of control. It reminds me of how we approach site grading at E&C Trucking LLC—not every piece of land gets treated the same; we tailor everything based on conditions and who’s using the site. Hopefully, Zoom rolls out more nuanced options soon!
