Changing time of meeting changes meeting ID??

Hi, I have set up a meeting and then changed the date, thinking that the link/meeting ID will not change. But instead Zoom has created a second meeting with a different ID for unknown reasons. Now I have two meetings with two different IDs and people signed up for both.

Is there a way to change the meeting ID or combine the two meetings somehow? I am on a Mac.
