Hi there,

I have the Zoom Pro licence. I am the one using the licence, but have added an admin with a basic account. Even though I have granted the role of admin, he cannot see any cloud recordings.
How and where can I change that?

I have been searching for answer for about an hour now and am still clueless

Best regards

Timo

Hi, @thannemann,

Your Zoom admin can't see your recordings directly in your account, but can see all recordings for all users in the account in the Admin -> Account Management -> Recording Management menu.  if your organization has many users or many recordings, there are a variety of filter/search options at the top of the screen.

If your admin can't see this menu item, or if the screen is blank with no recordings present, let me know and I'll dig a little deeper.

Honestly, I didn't think a Basic account could even be an Admin... and I couldn't find any documentation that said it could, or could not, be done.  So I confirmed that one of my Basic accounts (used for testing Zoom functions) can view all of my recordings from all user accounts.  I learned something!  Thanks for asking your question completely yet succinctly.

Ray -- check out the GoodClix website.

Hello! Having the same problem. I (admin) still can't see the recordings even if I was already given access in the recording management. How do we go about this?

Thanks!

I have this same problem, and it's weird.

The admin was able to see the recordings at one point, but I took over the recording management through my account for the past 2 weeks. Now when I go through the admin account, it no longer shows the recordings.

Is anyone else having this issue recently?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @scvenice

If the admin was previously able to see the recordings but now cannot, and you recently took over recording management, it’s likely that the permissions or settings have changed. Here’s what you should check:

  1. Verify the admin still has the “Recording Management” privilege assigned in User Management > Roles.
  2. Make sure the admin is still assigned to the correct role with the necessary permissions.
  3. Check if the “Prevent hosts from accessing their cloud recordings” setting is enabled. If this is turned on, only admins with the recording management privilege can access all recordings. If it’s off, only the host (the person who recorded) can access their own recordings.
  4. If you changed the role or permissions recently, reassign the “Recording Management” privilege to the admin and save the changes.

After making these checks and adjustments, have the admin sign out and sign back in to the Zoom web portal, then try accessing Account Management > Recording Management again.
