I currently have a Webinar 3000 license.  Does my backup also need this type of license, or can it be a Zoom workplace license?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @jmw2025.

What exactly are you expecting your “backup” to be able to do?  If that person is on the same organizational account as you and you want that person to be able to start the webinar without you, make that person an Alt Host.

Only the webinar owner and any assigned Alt Host are able to start a webinar.

If you need additional flexibility in assigning Hosts and Alt-Hosts, consider Zoom Sessions or Events. It’s more expensive than a webinar license, but comes with many additional features. Reach out to me if you’d like to learn more.
