Is it possible to download (export) a document from Zoom Docs to PC (data to excel or csv)?
Thank you
2024-10-24 10:28 PM
Hi.
In Zoom Docs, you can download document by Open a Zoom Docs > Click the … button in the upper right corner > Print(save as PDF) .
2025-03-10 05:22 AM
Don't see a print option on my screen.
2025-03-11 11:24 PM
Hi, it's here.
2025-03-12 05:57 AM
This is NOT what we are looking for. This simply exports to PDF, which means you can print it, but you can't edit it or otherwise work with it. We would like to see a Save As function that saves documents to .DOC format and tables to .XLS format.
2024-10-25 02:35 AM
Hi,
not to pdf but to editable format (eg. excel)

@renata_irn Thank you for raising the feedback! This is not out yet, but definitely something we are looking at.
Could you share your scenarios about when you need to export it into an editable format like Excel or CSV, please?

Hi Soph, we use Zoom as a corporate tool for meetings, chatting etc.
Zoom Docs is nice functionality which I discovered recently. I want to use it for collaboration on common document where users update current statuses for records and events. On regular basis I would need to extract data and upload it to our local BI system. So far there walkaround I found is selecting Columns by pressing Shift-button and Copy/Paste to excel sheet.

@renata_irn thank you for sharing! Forwarded this to our relevant feature PMs

Hello, how do I download a zoom doc as a word document? I think this is probably what 90% of all users want to do!
2024-12-03 03:17 AM
Thank you for your feedback! Currently, Zoom Docs supports printing and exporting as a PDF. We're actively exploring additional export options, so please stay tuned for updates!
Meanwhile, if you have more feedback towards Docs, or would like to discuss this further, we’d be happy to arrange a quick chat at your convenience. We’re always eager to hear from our users. Let us know!
Best,

Sorry you need to change that asap, who wants a pdf? I can save Word docs as a pdf myself. I need to download the meeting document, work on it and then save it. What a wasted chance. D-

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We truly appreciate your feedback and have noted it carefully

Hi @criticalobserve. Would supporting export to .docx format solve your problem?
2024-12-10 12:36 AM
Yes, that would be amazing! Please let me know when and how this is finally possible!
2025-03-17 02:34 PM
Please add this feature! I was searching for an hour this morning looking for how to export a Zoom Doc into Word, and didn't realize until this thread that it isn't possible. I train others on new software in higher education, so it would be helpful to have Zoom documentation that references this.
2024-12-05 12:41 PM
Seconding this. The ability to export a document to Word would makes this feature far more useful. Sometimes we have a document in Word that we will upload and share in a meeting to get some markup, but ultimately need to get it back as a Word document and not be limited to working within Zoom docs.

@jlevin Thank you for sharing your scenario. Forwarding this with our relevant feature PM👍
May I ask why you would convert it back to Word and how you would use the Word document afterwards?
2024-12-10 12:31 AM
We may do some initial collaboration on a draft of the document during a Zoom meeting, but then it needs to be worked on further either as part of a larger document or using features that Word has but not Zoom Docs. And we may need to circulate the document to folks outside our organization or submit to a third party. A grant application would be a good example.
2024-12-09 06:38 PM
Hi @jlevin.
May I confirm if by “export a document to Word,” you mean exporting it in .docx format?
2024-12-10 12:34 AM
That is exactly what I meant!
And similarly, as others have noted, the ability to export tables to .xlsx format would be equally valuable.
The ability to collaborate on docs within Zoom, particularly during meetings, is great, but we aren't going to have Zoom docs replace our use of MS Office.
2024-12-10 02:36 AM
I would say it‘s almost obvious that person means that.
2025-04-11 03:27 AM
Hi @sofix001 , any progress on this demand? It is highly requested. Thank you!

Hello Zoom,
This question has been left unanswered for such a long time - so what’s the deal here, why is it so incredibly difficult to make Zoom docs downloadable as Word documents like docs or if that’s too difficult at least as oft?? Please make this work otherwise Uoom remains limited.
2025-04-27 07:57 PM
Hi
Thanks for your feedback.
We are actively working on the ability to download Zoom Docs as Word documents, and it’s expected to be available soon.
Appreciate your patience as we continue improving the product.

Hi,
we all want to be able to export zoom docs to .docx and .xslx files.
Please add this feature as soon as posible.
Thanks.
2025-04-27 07:58 PM
Hi, we are working on this right now. And will introduce it in a near future.
2025-04-09 05:04 PM
I absolutely need an export to docx and xml. Print to PDF is NOT accessible for screen reader users. Not only that, but collaboration is great on Zoom, but has limited functionality with data tables. It's a great place to start for teams, but not powerful enough.
2025-04-27 08:02 PM
Hi!~
Thanks a lot for your feedback — we really appreciate you sharing your experience.
We’re working on the export feature and will introduce it in a near future.
Also, it would be very helpful if you could share a bit more about which parts of Zoom Docs you feel are not powerful enough, especially regarding data tables or other features.
Your input will help us prioritize future enhancements.

I'm testing Zoom AI Companion for my agency use and the inability to export to .docx or .xlsx is a deal killer for me. Please roll this out as soon as possible.
2025-04-27 08:05 PM
Hi @BarbSA_1462
Thank you for reaching out!
Export feature is under developing and will introduce soon.
2025-04-23 06:40 AM
Just pitching in to add my wishes for a docx/xslx export. Just wrote a guide on how to use ZOOM-docs for our users and realized you can't download the documents for further use. This severely restricts the usability.
2025-04-27 08:06 PM
Hi @JessicaH
Thanks for the feedback! Export feature is in progress and coming soon. Appreciate your patience!

I was looking for help on why Zoom won't export to a docx/xslx file and ended up here.
It shouldn't just export to docx/xslx files, it should also support exporting to Google Sheets and Google Docs.
And yet, this simple feature is still not implemented.
From reading the thread above, this has been an issue since last year, since shortly after Zoom docx was released, so why hasn't this feature been implemented in over a year, it's not that they can't implement it, it's that they won't.
I think it's a shallow ploy to keep users trapped in Zoom docx and not let them escape to MS Word or Google Docs.
Don't you realize that not allowing users to export MS Word or Google Docs from Zoom docs will actually discourage them from using Zoom docs and reduce user acquisition?
I was just looking at Zoom docx the other day and thought it looked great, but when I saw that it doesn't allow MS Word or Google Docs export, I stopped thinking about using Zoom docx.

Hi Thanks for your feedback.
To be transparent, we previously faced some prioritization challenges as we focused heavily on product security and foundational growth features. However, over the past two months, we’ve recognized how critical export capabilities are for user trust and adoption, and we’ve since raised their priority significantly.
We’re currently working on supporting export from Zoom Docs to PDF, Word (.docx), and Markdown, as well as exporting Data Tables to CSV. These features are actively in development and are expected to launch within the next 1.5 months.
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we appreciate you calling it out — it helps us build a better product.

Adding to the point: I was an early-adopter of Zoom Docs and loved the user-friendly interface, but as mentioned above, the trapping and lack of integration with ANY other app is frustrating. I can import from Notion, but not the other way around. Some clients use Google's tools, and it'd be great to export it to Docs, but rather I'm having to re-create everything in Google because there is no integration. I can't export the documents I used to track progress, and reports can only be sent to clients if they use Zoom or through a PDF.
I use Zoom to host in-company trainings, and need to create dashboards to show to clients. The idea of Zoom Docs was amazing, but this lack of integration will have me abandon the tool altogether.
