Community Champion Spotlight | November 2025 - Meet Bob!

The Zoom Community Champion Program was created to highlight the awesome work of the Zoom experts who volunteer their time and share their knowledge in the Zoom Community. This month, we're celebrating one of our wonderful Zoom Community Employee Champions, @iambobsat. Bob joined the community in September 2021 and became a Community Champion this year🥇

What do you like most about being a Zoom Community Champion? Why would you recommend joining the Champion program?

The best part about being a Community Champion is when someone hits that “Accepted as a Solution” button after I’ve answered their question on the Zoom Community page. It feels like I’ve just completed an important mission - super fulfilling and satisfying! That’s exactly why I’d encourage other Zoomies to join the Champion program. It might seem like a small thing, but you’re actually making a huge impact by helping our customers and making their experience better.

In one word, how would you describe the Zoom Community? 

Empowering. The Zoom Community isn’t just a page, it’s a go-to online resource. I always mention this during my account reviews with customers: about 90% of your technical questions have probably already been asked and answered in the Zoom Community page. And what does that mean? It saves you time-no need to call the hotline or submit a support ticket!

What is your favorite Zoom product and why? 

Definitely Zoom AI Companion! I always feel so proud showing it to my customers during business reviews-there’s always that “aha!” moment when they discover what AI Companion can do. And honestly, as a CSM, it makes my job so much easier too!

What is a fun fact you would like to share?

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been a huge fan of Christmas. My family and I love watching Christmas movies, especially during the holidays. (Fun fact: in the Philippines, Christmas starts as early as September, and our unofficial national Christmas anthem is Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You! 😂). I remember watching that giant Christmas tree in Home Alone and telling myself that one day, I’ll be travelling a lot and will be standing right there watching that tree light up (I didn’t know back then it was the Rockefeller Center tree).That dream finally came true last year when I spent Christmas in the Big Apple! As a bonus, I got to explore the city, take a four-hour train to see Mariah Carey live in Boston, and ring in the New Year in Mexico visiting Cancun, Yucatan, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, and so much more.

       

Oh, and a another little fun fact: I’m also a proud fur dad to 10 cats - Percy, Cali, Tobi, Tokyo, Jisoo, Jennie, Nami, Charlie, Poly, and Precy. The one in the photo is my only boy, Percy! 🐾
