Zoom links timing out

Do zoom links have an expiry period? For example, if I create a meeting now for September 30, 2022, will that zoom link still be valid as long as I still have an active account? And how long in the future can I schedule a meeting?

Hello @cmb2021 ,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Scheduled, non-recurring meetings

  • A scheduled, non-recurring meeting ID (also known as a one-time meeting ID) will expire 30 days after the scheduled date. If you restart the same meeting ID within the 30 days, it will remain valid for another 30 days.
  • Scheduled meetings can be started at any time before the scheduled time as long as the meeting ID is not expired or deleted.

Recurring meetings

  • A recurring meeting ID expires if you haven't started a meeting occurrence for 365 days.
  • You can re-use the meeting ID for future occurrences, resetting the 365 day timer.
Note: When scheduling meetings with the Outlook or Google Calendar integrations, especially recurring meetings, please refer to the Zoom web portal for the most accurate scheduled date/time information.

Scheduling recurring meetings

Zoom allows you to schedule meetings with multiple occurrences, so that each occurrence uses the same meeting ID and settings. You can schedule these meetings in daily, weekly, and monthly increments. You can also set a recurring meeting to be used at any time. Meeting IDs for recurring meetings expire 365 days after the meeting was last started.

For more info on scheduling meetings in general and all of the meeting settings, see our documentation on scheduling meetings.

Notes:

  • For a better experience, see the Zoom add-on for Google Calendar (web or mobile) or Outlook (desktop or web) if you use one of these calendar services to schedule meetings.
  • Recurring meetings with a fixed recurrence patterns (daily, weekly, monthly) cannot be scheduled with your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) since your PMI is reserved so that you can start or schedule a meeting at anytime, similar to a no-fixed-time recurring meeting.
  • When scheduling a recurring meeting on the Zoom desktop client, mobile app, in Google Calendar, or in Outlook, the resulting Zoom meeting will always be created as a no-fixed-time recurring meeting. The resulting calendar event can then be scheduled with whichever recurrence pattern you choose, but that recurrence pattern will not be reflected on the Zoom side.
  • For individual meeting occurrences to show up in the Zoom desktop client or mobile app, you must schedule the recurring meetings in the Zoom web portal. Otherwise, the meetings will show up as No Fixed Time in Zoom and the individual occurrences will only be shown on your calendar.
  • Meetings can have up to 50 recurring sessions, so if you need more than 50 recurrences, use the No Fixed Time option.

The following instructions provide steps on scheduling recurring meetings in the Zoom desktop client and then adding them to either your Google Calendar or the Outlook desktop.

If you prefer to schedule a recurring meeting in your Google Calendar or Outlook desktop first, the recurring meeting will automatically appear in your Zoom desktop client. Learn more about scheduling meetings in Google Calendar or the Outlook desktop app.
