I was using Zoom for a long time and annotate tool was there when someone else was sharing screen I was able to draw on it - now there is no option for annotate - why is that?

I've even update to the newest version, everybody uses Zoom app and not the browser and I ve annotates enabled in my account.. There is no Annotate in drop down menu View options if someone is sharing their screen, I cannot draw on it. But the function appears when someone share whiteboard or an image..

This is a huge problem and makes Zoom useless for remote teaching.  Both of us are using Zoom app, not browser; both have Annotation turned on in meeting settings. Student is using MacBook; I'm on Windows.

If the annotation tool has disappeared, try these steps: Restart the app or browser you're using. Clear cache if you're using a browser. Check if the annotation feature is enabled in settings. Update the app or tool to the latest version. If using a shared document (e.g. Google Docs, PDF viewers), make sure you have the right permissions (Editor/Commenter). Still not working? Reinstall the app or try using it on another device. Let me know which tool you're using if it still doesn’t show up!
